Teaching and Mentoring
I enjoy teaching mathematics at a wide range of levels, with a focus on integrating inquiry-based and active learning techniques. A teaching statement can be found here.
My teaching and mentoring experience includes graduate instruction at UC Berkeley, summer REU mentorship, and instruction at intensive inquiry-based summer programs. For my complete teaching record, see the curriculum vitae.
2025 REU materials
The materials below are a series of problem sets developed for the group I co-mentored with Ansuman Bardalai during the 2025 Berkeley Summer REU. The problem sets develop, in an inquiry-based style, fundamental concepts in geometric representation theory, including the spherical and affine Bruhat decompositions. They assume a first course in linear algebra, abstract algebra, and some basic notions from topology and measure theory. The final item is a problem set on nonarchimedean orbital integrals used to initiate the research portion of the REU.
